Mapcase Privacy Policy

What we collect and why

• Account: when you open Mapcase we create an anonymous account id so your progress can be saved. If you sign in with Apple or Google we store the identifier and email they give us. Processor: Supabase (EU region).
• Progress and decisions: which episodes you played, where you stopped, the choices you made, quiz scores, rank and streak. Your choices are counted anonymously in the vote percentages shown to other listeners; nobody can see your individual vote.
• Subscription: purchase status and expiry, handled by Apple/Google and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.
• Product analytics: screens and events (for example "episode completed") with your account id, so we can see where the app is confusing. Processor: PostHog (EU). No session recording.
• Advertising measurement (iOS, only if you allow tracking): the Meta SDK may use your device advertising identifier to measure whether an ad led you here. If you decline the iOS tracking prompt, this is off and the app works the same. On Android the SDK runs without the advertising id.
• Content delivery: episodes are downloaded from Cloudflare R2; standard server logs (IP address, time) apply.
• Notifications: scheduled on your device; the reminder hour is stored in your settings.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data, show third-party ads inside the app, or collect precise location, contacts, photos or microphone audio.

Retention and deletion

Progress and account data are kept while your account exists. "Reset app data" in Settings clears the device; to delete server data email hello@mapcase.app from the signed-in address and we delete the account and its rows within 30 days. Analytics events are retained for 12 months.

Your rights

Under GDPR/KVKK you may request access, correction, deletion or export of your data at the address above. Residents of the EU/EEA, UK and Türkiye have the rights set out in those laws.

Children

Mapcase is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will post changes here and, for material changes, in the app.
