Using Mapcase

Mapcase is an audio and map app about military history. By installing or using it you agree to these terms. If you got Mapcase from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ for an App Store download, Apple's agreement wins on the points it covers.

Free episodes and Mapcase Pro

• The first episode of every campaign is free. Other episodes need a Mapcase Pro subscription.
• Mapcase Pro is offered as a yearly plan with a 7-day free trial, or as a monthly plan. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we cannot issue them ourselves.
• Use "Restore purchases" in the app to unlock Pro on a new device with the same store account.

The content

Episodes are narrated reconstructions written from published histories, memoirs and official records, which we cite in each episode. Where sources disagree we say so, but history is argued over and we can be wrong. The "what if" branches after each decision are informed speculation, clearly marked, not historical fact. Mapcase is for education and entertainment; it is not professional or academic advice.

Maps use geographic data from OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Narration, scripts, maps and design are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them for personal, non-commercial listening only; please do not copy, redistribute or resell them.

Your account

Mapcase creates an anonymous account so your progress is saved; you can link Apple or Google sign-in to keep it across devices. Please do not try to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or manipulate the decision votes. We may suspend accounts that do.

Changes and availability

We add episodes regularly and may change or retire features. We will try to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Mapcase is provided "as is", and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Mapcase Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without affecting mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
